The emergent-reader year; a child moving from recognizing letters to decoding words and from counting to adding, in a warm, family-connected classroom.

First grade still lives in the class keepsake more than the gradebook; a proud emergent-reader's page passes the teacher-approval gate, honest content-safety scan advising the teacher, never auto-published.

From kindergarten readiness into the first real academics; the child now reads and the parent reads with them at home.
